Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you might want to know before you arrive. If your question isn’t here, please get in touch — we’re always happy to talk things through.

Before You Arrive

How do I get there?
We arrange transfers from the nearest international airport directly to the retreat. Full travel details are provided once your booking is confirmed. We’re located in a peaceful, rural area of Thailand — easily accessible yet wonderfully secluded.
Most visitors from the UK and similar countries can enter Thailand visa-free for the first 60 days. For longer stays, we provide full visa application support at no charge. A 30-day extension costs approximately £125 (5,000 THB), and an additional 3-month extension is approximately £200 (8,000 THB). We guide you through every step.
Comfortable, light clothing suitable for warm weather, any personal medications, and a good book or two. We provide all linens, towels, and toiletries. A detailed packing list is sent upon booking.
Payment is made by bank transfer in any currency. A deposit secures your booking, with the balance due before arrival. Full payment details are provided during the booking process.
We recommend 12 weeks for the full benefit of the programme, with a minimum stay of one month. Many residents choose to extend once they’re here. The length of your stay is ultimately your decision — we’ll help you think through what’s right for you.

Daily Life

What’s included in the price?
Your stay includes private accommodation, three freshly prepared meals daily (seven days a week), a minimum of three 1:1 counselling sessions per week at no extra charge, all group sessions and therapeutic activities, breathwork and meditation, weekend excursions, use of all retreat facilities including the pool, bicycles for local exploration, Wi-Fi, laundry service, and full visa support.
Each day follows a gentle rhythm: morning exercise, reading and reflection, breakfast, breathwork and meditation, lunch, afternoon contemplative practice and therapeutic sessions, evening meal, and community time. 1:1 counselling sessions are scheduled throughout the week — a minimum of three per week, with flexibility to increase as needed. Everything is structured enough to hold you, but flexible enough to honour where you are each day.
Saturdays are free — your time to rest, explore by bicycle, read by the pool, or do absolutely nothing. Sundays include a group excursion to temples, coastal areas, local markets, or natural beauty spots.
Three freshly prepared meals are included daily, prepared by our on-site chef seven days a week. We cater to specific dietary requirements — just let us know. You’re also welcome to order your own food and have our chef prepare it, or use our communal kitchen to cook for yourself.

Yes, please let us know of any dietary needs when booking. Thailand is wonderfully accommodating of vegetarian, vegan, and most dietary requirements.

Yes, Wi-Fi is available throughout the retreat. We also offer an optional digital detox programme for those who want to reduce screen time during their stay — but this is entirely your choice, never imposed.

Flexibility & Privacy

Is there a minimum stay?

We recommend a stay of 12 weeks (3 months) to gain the full benefit of our programme. The minimum stay is one month. However, we understand everyone’s situation is different and can discuss alternative arrangements on a case-by-case basis.

Absolutely. You’re always free to come and go as you please. Your autonomy and sense of control are paramount to us. We simply ask that you let us know your plans for safety reasons.

Yes, completely. Your privacy is our priority. We maintain strict confidentiality about all guests. Our location is kept deliberately private, and we never share information about who stays with us.

We generally encourage this to be your personal time for restoration. However, we understand the importance of connection and can discuss visitor arrangements on an individual basis.

Thailand has excellent medical facilities. We have relationships with local healthcare providers and can assist with any medical needs. Travel insurance is required for all guests.

Therapeutic Support

How often will I see a counsellor?
You’ll have a minimum of three 1:1 counselling sessions per week, included at no extra charge. Your counsellor works with you from arrival to departure, and the frequency can be adjusted to your needs — some residents have sessions more often.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a gentle, evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process difficult memories and experiences. It’s particularly helpful for those healing from trauma, reducing the emotional charge of painful memories so they no longer feel overwhelming. Sessions are conducted at your pace in a safe, professional setting.
No. Group sessions are offered as an option and are always facilitated in a safe, confidential environment. Many residents find them profoundly helpful, but participation is entirely your choice.
Our programme draws on Buddhist contemplative traditions — mindfulness, meditation, breathwork, and the principles of compassionate living (dharma). These are offered as practical tools for inner peace, not as religious instruction. Whatever your faith, background, or beliefs, you’re welcome to engage as much or as little as feels right.

The Environment

Is this a substance-free environment?
We maintain a calm, clear environment — alcohol and substances are not available on-site. This isn’t about rules; it’s about protecting a space where everyone can heal without distraction. If you have questions about this, our team is happy to discuss it with you.
Absolutely. Pushbikes are provided for all guests, and the local area is beautiful for gentle exploration. Motorbikes and scooters are also available for hire at around £5 per day. Saturday is a free day specifically for this kind of self-directed time.
You’re free to contact family and friends at any time. We have Wi-Fi throughout the retreat and you’re welcome to use your phone. Our optional digital detox programme is available for those who prefer to reduce screen time, but it’s never imposed.
Please discuss any physical needs or limitations with us before booking. We’ll do our best to accommodate you and will be honest about what we can and can’t provide.

Practical Matters

Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, comprehensive travel insurance is required. It should cover medical expenses, repatriation, and trip cancellation. We can advise on suitable providers if needed.
Cancellations more than 30 days before arrival receive a full refund minus deposit. 14–30 days: 50% refund. Less than 14 days: no refund. We understand that circumstances change — please contact us to discuss your situation. We’ll always try to be fair.
Yes, and many do. If you’d like to extend, just speak with the team during your stay. We’ll help with visa arrangements and adjust your programme accordingly.
