Visa Guidance for Long Stays

Clear, practical visa information for 1–3 month stays in Thailand. Updated guidance for UK, Australian, US, and EU passport holders.

Visa Options for Your Stay

Thailand’s visa system is straightforward for most Western passport holders, but it helps to plan ahead – especially for stays longer than 30 days. We help every guest navigate the visa process before they travel.

The information below is general guidance. Visa rules can change, and we always recommend checking the latest requirements with the Thai embassy in your country before booking flights.

Visa Options by Stay Length

Up to 30 Days (Visa Exemption)

UK, US, Australian, and most EU passport holders can enter Thailand without a visa for up to 30 days. This is automatically granted at immigration on arrival. Suitable for a 4-week stay.

30–60 Days (Extension)

The 30-day visa exemption can be extended by 30 days at a local immigration office. We assist with this process. Suitable for stays of 5–8 weeks.

60–90 Days (Tourist Visa)

For stays of 8–12 weeks, apply for a Tourist Visa (TR) at a Thai embassy before departure. This gives 60 days, extendable by 30 days in-country. We provide a support letter for your application.

Longer Stays

For stays exceeding 90 days, additional visa arrangements may be needed. We discuss these on a case-by-case basis during your admissions conversation and can advise on the best approach.

We Help with the Paperwork

Visa applications can feel bureaucratic, especially when you are already dealing with a lot. Our admissions team provides support letters, guidance on which visa to apply for, and step-by-step instructions for your specific nationality and stay length.

Visa information on this page is general guidance and may change. Always verify current requirements with the Thai embassy or consulate in your country of residence before travelling.
