Meet the Team

Our Clinical Team

Qualified, experienced professionals committed to your recovery. Every member of our team brings genuine expertise and a deep commitment to ethical, effective care.

Real Credentials, Real People

At Silkworth Thailand, your care is delivered by qualified professionals with verified credentials and genuine clinical experience. We do not use creative job titles or inflated biographies – what you see here is accurate and verifiable.

Every clinician on our team maintains active registration with their professional body and participates in regular clinical supervision. We believe this transparency is essential in a YMYL (Your Money, Your Life) context.

Clinical Team

Clinical Director

Provides clinical leadership for the programme, overseeing assessment, treatment planning, safeguarding, supervision, and standards of care across the retreat.

Lead Therapist

Leads core therapeutic work with guests, helping shape individual treatment goals and coordinating trauma-informed interventions such as counselling, EMDR, and structured review.

Counsellor

Offers consistent one-to-one support, relational process work, and day-to-day therapeutic continuity so guests can build trust, reflect safely, and work at a sustainable pace.

Wellbeing Coordinator

Supports the daily rhythm of the retreat through wellbeing check-ins, mindfulness facilitation, practical coordination, and attentive guest welfare support between formal sessions.

Our Approach to Staffing

We deliberately maintain a small team and a low guest-to-therapist ratio. This ensures that every guest receives genuinely personalised attention – not a one-size-fits-all programme delivered by rotating staff.

Your primary counsellor stays with you from arrival to departure. Continuity of care is not a luxury; it is a clinical necessity for effective trauma work.

  • All clinical staff hold recognised qualifications from accredited institutions
  • Active registration with professional bodies (BACP, UKCP, EMDR Association, or equivalent)
  • Regular clinical supervision with an external supervisor
  • Ongoing CPD (Continuing Professional Development) as a condition of employment
  • DBS-checked (or international equivalent) before joining the team
